Regaal Resources Commissions LG and MPD Facility in Bihar

Regaal Resources Limited inaugurated and commissioned its expanded maize processing facility at Kishanganj, Bihar, marking a major step in the company’s long-term growth and diversification strategy. Developed with an investment of nearly ₹389 crore, the expansion significantly enhances the company’s manufacturing capabilities in value-added maize products and specialty derivatives while reinforcing its position in the Indian maize processing industry.

Crushing Capacity Increased to 1,650 TPD

As part of the expansion, Regaal Resources has doubled the crushing capacity of its integrated maize wet milling facility from 825 tons per day (TPD) to 1,650 TPD. In addition, the company has commissioned a new liquid glucose manufacturing facility with a production capacity of 180 metric tons per day.  A maltodextrin powder manufacturing facility with a production capacity of 50 metric tons per day.  The expanded operations are designed to meet rising demand from sectors including food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, textiles, healthcare, animal nutrition, and various industrial applications.

Expansion to Improve Supply Chain and Regional Manufacturing Ecosystem

The company stated that the expansion will strengthen production efficiency, improve supply chain integration, and support Bihar’s growing industrial and agricultural ecosystem. The project is expected to generate approximately 475 additional direct employment opportunities, increasing Regaal’s total workforce to nearly 950 employees. Moreover, the expansion is likely to create significant indirect employment across logistics, warehousing, transportation, procurement, contractual labour, and allied services. At the same time, the project is expected to benefit thousands of farmers by strengthening local sourcing networks and improving access to organized procurement systems.

Chairman Highlights Strategic Growth Vision

Anil Kishorepuria, Chairman and Managing Director of Regaal Resources Limited, said the commissioning marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward becoming a diversified maize-based specialty products manufacturer. He noted that the enhanced crushing capacity and newly added derivative manufacturing facilities will strengthen Regaal’s presence in higher value-added maize products while enabling the company to address evolving customer requirements across food, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and healthcare industries. According to Kishorepuria, with a crushing capacity of 1,650 MT per day, Regaal will now operate the largest maize wet milling facility in Eastern India, further reinforcing its manufacturing scale and long-term growth potential.

Value-Added Products Planned for FY27

Regaal Resources plans to further expand its specialty maize product portfolio by adding dextrose anhydrous (DAH), dextrose monohydrate (DMH), hydrol and modified starch products. The associated capital expenditure for these projects is already underway, with commissioning expected during FY27.The company expects these additions to improve operating leverage, diversify revenue streams, and enhance profit margins through increased participation in higher-value specialty product categories. As per the press release, the latest expansion represents another major step in Regaal Resources’ long-term strategy to strengthen Bihar’s industrial ecosystem, support agricultural growth, generate employment, and create sustainable value for stakeholders.
