TPSSL and NTPC Sign Deal for Solar Module Supply

Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL) secured a contract from NTPC Limited to supply 152 MWp solar PV modules for the Nokh solar project in Rajasthan, valued at approximately ₹4.18 billion. The Nokh solar park, being constructed by NTPC in Pokaran, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, consists of three units with a total capacity of 735 MW. The project will utilise bi-facial mono-PERC modules that comply with the domestic content requirement (DCR) category.

In September 2023, TPSSL received a $425 million investment from the US International Development Finance Corporation for its upcoming solar module and cell manufacturing facility located in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India.

As reported by RenewableWatch, during the same month, TPSSL entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Small Industries Development Bank of India to facilitate accessible financing solutions for micro, small, and medium enterprises looking to adopt solar energy.
