UPL Corporation Ltd., a known name in comprehensive and eco-friendly agricultural solutions, successfully finalized the purchase of Corteva Agriscience’s stand-alone mancozeb fungicide business for territories outside China, Japan, South Korea, the UK, Switzerland, and EU nations.
The strategic move enhances UPL’s product offerings and its position in the multisite fungicide industry by incorporating dithane, the global mancozeb brand trusted by farmers for effective disease control.
Additionally, the acquisition includes access to rainshield technology, which provides enhanced crop protection under rainy conditions. The acquisition encompasses only the solo formulations of mancozeb, leaving the premix formulations under Corteva’s control.
As reported by AgriBusiness GLOBAL, UPL Corporation now gains complete access to the comprehensive regulatory scientific dossier for mancozeb, covering all data, registrations, and trademarks related to Corteva’s stand-alone mancozeb products, along with a license for the Rainshield technology.
