UPL, through its subsidiary SWAL, has secured Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) registration for Bioclassic®, a flagship biostimulant developed by NPP, the company’s Natural Plant Protection biologicals division. The approval paves the way for the commercial availability of Bioclassic® to farmers across India and further strengthens UPL’s position in the country’s rapidly expanding biologicals market. With this latest registration, UPL continues to reinforce its commitment to delivering science-backed and regulation-compliant agricultural solutions that support sustainable farming practices.
Advanced Biostimulant Technology for Improved Crop Performance
Developed using a proprietary fermentation technology, Bioclassic® is formulated as a soluble concentrate designed to improve plant health and productivity. The product is recommended for application twice during the vegetative growth stage at ultra-low dosage levels. Bioclassic® enhances critical plant functions such as branching and photosynthesis, enabling better resource accumulation and stronger plant vigour. In addition, the biostimulant helps crops withstand environmental stress while contributing to incremental yield improvement.
Field trials conducted under diverse climatic and soil conditions have demonstrated the product’s consistent performance and high efficacy. The solution can be applied using conventional spraying systems and, where permitted, through drone-based application platforms in compliance with applicable standard operating procedures (SOPs).
