UPL Ltd., manufacturer of sustainable agricultural solutions, has received state registration approval for its TOP DECK® herbicide in California. The approval allows applicators in California to utilise TOP DECK® for managing aquatic vegetation in and around various environments, including aquatic sites, terrestrial non-crop areas, industrial sites, and rights-of-way.
TOP DECK® can effectively control a wide range of problematic aquatic weeds, including shoreline, floating, emerged, and submerged varieties such as grasses, cattails, phragmites, flowering rush, water lily, water hyacinth, water lettuce, pondweeds, and wild taro weed species. Importantly, the use of TOP DECK® imposes no restrictions on activities like livestock watering, swimming, fishing, or domestic water use.
As reported by Krishak Jagat, in addition to its ecological benefits, TOP DECK® serves as an excellent alternative to glyphosate for aquatic weed control. This registration aligns with UPL’s commitment to delivering effective weed control solutions while promoting sustainable practices.
