Veolia celebrated a significant milestone in its India journey with the inauguration of a Customer Experience Center at its Hoskote plant in Bengaluru. The event also marked the 25th anniversary of the Hoskote manufacturing and technology facility and the launch of a solar panel decarbonization initiative. The Hoskote Plant: 25 Years of Engineering and Innovation
Established in 2001, the Hoskote plant has evolved into a world-class hub for membrane manufacturing, specialty chemicals, and advanced water technologies. Today, the facility exports products and solutions to more than 20 countries, highlighting its global significance within Veolia’s operations.
The site also houses a co-located Technology Center, which serves as a key platform for research and innovation. Over the years, the centre has generated more than 100 patents, reflecting its strong contribution to global water technology development. Located in a region known for its strong engineering ecosystem and talent pool, the Hoskote facility is driven by a skilled team of engineers and scientists who develop cutting-edge solutions that strengthen environmental security for industries and communities worldwide.
Solar Initiative Supports Decarbonization Goals
As part of its GreenUp strategy and commitment to ecological transformation, Veolia also inaugurated a new solar panel installation at the Hoskote facility. The renewable energy initiative represents an important step in the plant’s decarbonization journey. According to the company, the installation will help avoid more than 600 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions annually. The initiative reflects Veolia’s broader strategy to reduce the carbon footprint of its own operations while helping customers achieve their sustainability and climate goals.
Customer Experience Center to Drive Collaboration and Innovation
A key highlight of the event was the inauguration of the Veolia Customer Experience Center, designed to showcase the company’s advanced water technologies and digital solutions in an immersive and interactive environment. The facility will act as a collaboration hub for customers, industry partners, and experts across South Asia and beyond.
The center features:

*Live demonstrations of digital tools, including remote monitoring and data analytics systems
*Direct engagement opportunities with technical experts and engineers
*Access to service capabilities, including remote inspections, auditing, and operator training
The center includes a dedicated training facility capable of accommodating up to 50 participants, strengthening its role as a platform for knowledge exchange and capacity building in water management technologies.
Veolia Strengthens Its Footprint in India’s Water Sector
Veolia has built a strong presence in India’s water infrastructure sector over the years. Today, the company is recognized as the largest industrial water solutions provider in South Asia. Across the region, Veolia has delivered more than 500 projects for municipalities and industries, covering areas such as drinking water treatment, sewage and wastewater treatment and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems. The company has also secured several major municipal contracts in Mumbai, including the Bandra wastewater treatment project, one of India’s largest greenfield sewage treatment plants using advanced membrane bioreactor technology. In addition, Veolia is upgrading the Bhandup drinking water plant, integrating smart clarifier technology and real-time monitoring systems to improve efficiency and water quality.
