Waaree Energies announced successful delivery of 850 megawatt (MW) solar PV modules for projects in the US developed by Acciona Energia, a Spanish renewable energy company. The modules, comprising Waaree’s monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear cell panels, were supplied for four major solar projects located in Fort Bend (Texas), High Point (Illinois), Union (Ohio), and Red Tailed Hawk Solar (Texas), totaling 4 GW of solar module deliveries to the US in 2023.

Waaree Energies completed the module deliveries four weeks ahead of schedule, facilitating Acciona in meeting its project commercial operation date timelines. As part of a newly announced three-year agreement, Waaree will continue to supply Acciona with an additional 1.5 GW of its N Type TOPCON modules for US projects from 2024 to 2026. Out of the total 2.34 GW order, Waaree has already fulfilled 850 MW.

As reported by businessline, emphasising their commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality and performance, Waaree conducted both internal and third-party quality testing on the solar modules supplied for these projects.
