TACC and CGT Join Forces to Accelerate Graphene Revolution

TACC Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HEG Limited and part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has signed a Technical Collaboration Agreement with Ceylon Graphene Technologies (CGT), a subsidiary of LOLC Holdings PLC and a global player in graphene innovation. The partnership aims to fast-track the commercialization and large-scale adoption of graphene and its derivatives, unlocking new possibilities in advanced material science.

Combining Strengths for Innovation

Under the collaboration, CGT will contribute its decade-long expertise in graphene research, technology scale-up, and application development to support TACC in building state-of-the-art graphene production capabilities. In return, TACC will leverage its strong foundation in graphite technology, carbon science, and proprietary graphene synthesis processes to accelerate innovation and deliver cutting-edge material solutions for multiple industries.

Two Strong Legacies, One Shared Vision

The alliance unites two powerful business conglomerates—LNJ Bhilwara Group and LOLC Group—creating a strong foundation for sustainable growth and technological leadership. Together, TACC and CGT will drive innovation, making graphene more accessible, scalable, and commercially viable across industries.

Ongoing Initiatives Highlight Graphene’s Potential

TACC has already demonstrated its commitment to graphene innovation through strategic collaborations across key sectors:

*Construction: TACC is partnering with the National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB). It is also working with the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI) to develop graphene-based concrete solutions.

*Textiles: Collaborating with Birla Cellulose (a division of Grasim Industries) and RSWM Limited to advance graphene-infused fabrics for next-generation applications.

These partnerships serve as real-world examples of TACC’s vision to transform industries with high-performance graphene solutions.

Leadership Speak

Ankur Khaitan, MD and CEO, TACC Limited, stated, “We are thrilled to partner with Ceylon Graphene Technologies. This collaboration will accelerate the adoption of graphene in India and beyond. Graphene has immense potential, yet its commercialization has faced challenges. At TACC, we have made significant strides in advancing technology and unlocking its economic viability. By joining forces with CGT, a leader in scaled graphene production, we are set to make graphene a cornerstone for next-generation industrial solutions.”

Dr. Manju Gunawardana, CEO, CGT, added, “CGT and TACC share a common mission—to turn advanced material research into practical, scalable solutions. By leveraging our combined strengths, we aim to make graphene technologies commercially viable and truly transformative across multiple global industries.”

Driving the Future of Advanced Materials

Graphene, hailed as a revolutionary material for its strength, conductivity, and versatility, is now closer to mainstream adoption. Through this collaboration, TACC and CGT will focus on:

*Engineering design, production scale-up, commissioning, and product validation.

*Feasibility studies and risk mitigation planning with an emphasis on commercial viability and environmental compliance.

*Accelerating product trials, validation, and commercialization of graphene-based technologies through shared expertise and technical data.

Transforming Multiple Industries

As per the press release, the partnership will impact sectors such as construction, textiles, coatings, rubber, and energy storage. It will also position India as a global leader in next-generation material science. Together, TACC and CGT are setting the stage for a graphene revolution that promises sustainability, performance, and innovation at scale.
