Inox Solar Commences Production at Gujarat Solar Module Facility

Inox Solar, through its arm Inox Clean Energy, commenced production at its solar module manufacturing facility in Bavla, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The fully automated plant, equipped with cutting-edge technology, manufactures N-type TOPCon solar modules using M10, G12R, and G12 solar cells. The first phase of the Bavla facility has a production capacity of 1.2 GW, forming part of a larger 3 GW planned plant. The facility will scale up further in its second phase to reach full capacity.

Advanced Technology for Higher Efficiency

The Bavla plant produces globally recognized module technology that delivers higher efficiency, lower degradation, and superior reliability, setting a benchmark for modern solar installations. The bifacial modules enable dual-sided power generation, enhancing the Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) and overall energy output. The advanced technology positions Inox Solar to meet both domestic and global solar energy demands, while reinforcing India’s position in the renewable energy sector.

Expanding India’s Domestic Solar Manufacturing

In addition to Bavla, Inox Solar is establishing an integrated 4.8 GW solar cell-plus-module manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal, Odisha. This flagship project aims to strengthen India’s domestic solar manufacturing ecosystem and reduce import dependence. It also seeks to position the country as a key player in global renewable energy supply chains.

“We completed the first phase of our Bavla facility within four months. Given the current deficit in domestic solar cell manufacturing capacity, large conglomerates like INOXGFL, with integrated offerings, can now capitalize on large-scale opportunities in the sector,” said Devansh Jain, Executive Director, INOXGFL Group.

Strategic Role of Inox Clean Energy
