Envision Energy, a global player in renewable energy solutions, has broken ground on its state-of-the-art two GW per annum wind turbine blade manufacturing facility at Kalyangadh in Bavla Taluka, Ahmedabad district, Gujarat. The landmark project marks Envision’s third manufacturing site in India and forms a critical part of the company’s ₹500 crore expansion plan to deepen its presence and boost manufacturing capabilities in the country.

Aligned with Make-in-India and National Renewable Energy Goals

The launch of the new facility aligns closely with the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Make-in-India initiative, aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and reducing reliance on imported components. By localizing the production of critical renewable energy equipment, Envision’s plant will contribute directly to India’s national goal of achieving 50% installed power capacity from non-fossil fuel sources by 2030. The investment underscores Envision Energy’s role as a strategic partner in India’s clean energy transition. It also supports the nation’s ambitious decarbonization and sustainability agenda.

Advanced Manufacturing Capabilities to Power India’s Wind Sector

The Gujarat facility is designed with a production capacity of up to 1,500 blades annually using six moulds. It will manufacture blades for 3.3 MW and 5 MW wind turbine platforms. The facility will cater to a wide range of project needs. Once operational, the plant will support over 4 GW of wind energy projects across more than 10 sites in five districts of Gujarat. This will significantly enhance the state’s renewable energy generation capacity.

Boosting Local Employment and Industrial Growth

Beyond clean energy, the project promises a significant socio-economic impact. By integrating with local supply chains and fostering ancillary industries, the facility will strengthen the regional industrial ecosystem.

Leadership Voices

RPV Prasad, Managing Director, Envision Energy India, emphasized, “This new facility in Gujarat is not just an investment in infrastructure, but an investment in India’s clean energy future. It reflects our commitment to supporting the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat by strengthening domestic manufacturing, creating local employment, and fostering industrial growth in the region.”

Building a Greener Future

The blade manufacturing facility is being developed by DA Group and constructed by Ashwika Warehousing LLP. This reflects a collaborative effort to accelerate India’s renewable energy transition. As per the press release, once operational, the plant will stand as a symbol of India’s growing self-reliance. It will specifically highlight progress in renewable energy manufacturing. It also reflects Envision Energy’s unwavering commitment to creating a greener, more sustainable future.
