GE Vernova Inc. signed an agreement with Enfinity Global to supply 43 onshore wind turbines for the 163.4 MW Fatehgarh Wind Farm in Rajasthan. The project marks another significant step in expanding India’s renewable energy infrastructure and supporting the country’s ambitious clean energy targets. Under the agreement, GE Vernova will supply and install 43 units of its 3.8 MW-154m wind turbines, with project deliveries scheduled to commence in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Supporting India’s Energy Transition
The collaboration reinforces the commitment of both companies to accelerate India’s transition towards renewable energy. Enfinity Global currently manages a 4 GW renewable energy portfolio in India, with approximately 300 MW already operational. Its diversified portfolio includes solar, wind, and energy storage projects, enabling the company to meet the country’s rapidly growing electricity demand with sustainable energy solutions.
Advanced Wind Turbine Technology
Deepak Maloo, General Manager, Onshore Wind Business, GE Vernova India, said the company is pleased to collaborate with Enfinity Global in supporting India’s wind energy ambitions. He noted that the 3.8 MW-154m wind turbine has been specifically designed to deliver high efficiency, reliability, and strong performance under Indian wind conditions. In addition, the turbine has received Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) certification, while local manufacturing at GE Vernova’s Pune facility enables faster delivery and stronger support for customers developing renewable energy projects. Maloo added that the company remains committed to helping India achieve its target of 500 GW of renewable energy capacity.

According to him, the partnership combines GE Vernova’s advanced wind technology and engineering expertise with Enfinity Global’s strong local market presence. ‘Make in India’ Manufacturing Supports Project
The wind turbines for the Fatehgarh project will be manufactured at GE Vernova’s Pune manufacturing facility, which serves as a key pillar of the company’s ‘Make in India’ strategy. The facility has an annual production capacity of up to 1,500 MW, enabling the company to support the growing demand for domestically manufactured wind energy equipment. GE Vernova will leverage its broader Indian manufacturing and engineering ecosystem, including its Bengaluru Technology Center and Vadodara blade manufacturing plant, to support the project.

India is rapidly expanding its renewable energy capacity and has set a target of achieving 100 GW of installed wind power capacity by 2030. Through projects such as the Fatehgarh Wind Farm, GE Vernova and Enfinity Global are contributing to this national objective by deploying advanced wind technologies that enhance energy security, reduce carbon emissions, and support long-term sustainable economic growth.
