ACME Solar Holdings commissioned a 110.336 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in Rajasthan through its wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya. The project further strengthens the company’s presence in India’s rapidly expanding energy storage sector.

Project Location and Commissioning Timeline

The BESS project is located at Sanwara and Mehar Nagar in Pokhran of Jaisalmer district. ACME Suryodaya commissioned the facility on 15 July 2026, while the Commercial Operation Date (COD) is scheduled for 17 July 2026. The new battery energy storage facility will support the increasing demand for grid-scale energy storage solutions across India. In particular, the project will help improve renewable energy integration, enhance grid reliability, support power system flexibility, and facilitate efficient energy management. As renewable energy capacity continues to grow, large-scale battery storage projects are becoming increasingly important for balancing supply and demand on the grid.

Supporting India’s Energy Transition

The commissioning marks another significant milestone in ACME Solar Holdings’s strategy to expand its clean energy and energy storage assets. Moreover, the project aligns with India’s broader renewable energy goals by supporting greater adoption of renewable power, improved grid stability and enhanced energy security. As reported by projectstoday.ai, with the addition of the 110.336 MWh BESS facility in Rajasthan, ACME Solar continues to strengthen its position in the country’s growing battery energy storage market while contributing to a more resilient and sustainable power system.
