ACME Group has entered the renewable energy equipment manufacturing sector with the launch of its 1.2 GW solar PV module facility in Jaipur. The company also plans to manufacture solar cells in Rajasthan in the coming years.
Commercial Operations Begin After Stabilization
Although trial production started in January, full-scale commercial operations commenced after a stabilization period. The facility’s subsidiary, MKU Holdings, secured a spot on the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Investment and Expansion Plans
ACME Group has invested ₹230 crore in the facility and aims to expand its capacity further. The company’s manufacturing business will operate under MKU Holdings, targeting a revenue of ₹10,000 crore by 2030.
Boost from ALMM Certification
As reported by projectstoday.com, the ALMM certification enables ACME to participate in both government-backed projects and private initiatives that require certified modules. This strengthens the company’s position in India’s renewable energy sector.
Commitment to India’s Clean Energy Goals
“Our strategic entry into the renewable equipment manufacturing business aligns seamlessly with the Make in India initiative. It marks a significant milestone in our journey to contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy transition,” said Chairman Manoj K Upadhyay.
