Adani Group Breaks Ground on First Logistics Park in Kerala

The Adani Group marked a significant milestone as it laid the foundation stone for its first logistics park in Kerala. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Ashwani Gupta, Whole-Time Director and CEO of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ), attended the ceremony in Kalamassery, Kochi, and hailed the project as a ‘historic milestone’ in the state’s industrial journey.

A Mega Investment to Power Kerala’s Trade Future

Adani will build the upcoming Logistics Park across 70 acres, covering 1.3 million sq. ft., and investing over ₹600 crore. Once operational, the facility will empower local SMEs through an integrated supply chain ecosystem.

“We are building this logistics hub for the world — connecting Kalamassery to global markets and making Kerala an even more attractive trade destination,” Gupta said, emphasizing the park’s advanced design philosophy centered on Talent, Technology, and Warehousing.

Government and Private Sector Join Forces

The project comes under the Invest in Kerala programme, reflecting the state’s commitment to attracting large-scale investments. Gupta credited Chief Minister Vijayan and the Kerala government for fostering an investor-friendly climate. “The collaboration between public and private sectors here is not merely functional; it is transformational,” Gupta noted.

Cutting-Edge Features for a Digital Supply Chain

Setting a new benchmark in logistics, the facility will provide a zero-touch digital experience — from gate entry to invoicing — ensuring real-time supply chain visibility. Flipkart has already signed on as a partner, strengthening the park’s role in enabling smart storage solutions and faster deliveries.

“The park goes beyond box-type facilities to create tech-driven ecosystems for efficient operations,” Gupta said.

Strengthening Adani’s Multimodal Ecosystem

As reported by msn.com, the Kochi logistics park will further expand APSEZ’s national logistics network, which currently includes 21 industrial parks across India. The company aims to reach 30 parks and 20 million sq. ft. of capacity by 2030. This investment is part of the Adani Group’s broader multimodal strategy in Kerala, which also features the Vizhinjam International Seaport and Trivandrum International Airport. “As we break ground today, we are laying the foundation for a future where logistics isn’t just a backend function — it’s a strategic advantage,” Gupta concluded.
