AM Green and the Port of Rotterdam Authority have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a robust green energy supply chain connecting India and Northwestern Europe via Rotterdam — Europe’s first energy port and a critical entry point for hydrogen carriers.
Building a Green Corridor for Fuels and Infrastructure
The collaboration will focus on the supply of bunkering fuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) while jointly analyzing the infrastructure requirements for developing terminals in Rotterdam and along the supply chain into Northwestern Europe. This marks a significant step toward strengthening international trade in low-carbon energy solutions.
Linking Net Zero Clusters and Hydrogen Trade
As part of the agreement, both partners will work together to develop strategic port infrastructure to safely store and distribute hydrogen-based fuels and products. A key objective is to link India’s Net Zero Industrial Clusters to European markets, with the potential to export up to 1 million tons of green fuels annually. This green energy corridor could facilitate green fuel trade worth up to USD 1 billion between India and Europe.
AM Green’s Bold Vision for Green Ammonia
AM Green is rapidly advancing its mission to build a five million tons per annum (MTPA) green ammonia production capacity by 2030, equivalent to approximately 1 MTPA of green hydrogen. The initial production will begin in Kakinada, India, to cater to growing global demand. This large-scale ambition positions AM Green as a major player in the clean energy transition.
