Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited is a global player in sustainable chemicals. It showcased its pivotal role in driving the petrochemical industry’s transformation at the Asia Petrochemical Industry Conference (APIC) 2025, held at Bangkok.

APIC 2025, themed “Ensuring a Transformed World Prosperity – Action for Planet with Innovation and Collaboration,” emphasized the petrochemical sector’s responsibility in enabling sustainable growth amidst major structural shifts. This message strongly aligns with Indorama Ventures’ commitment to delivering indispensable chemistry through sustainable solutions.
Joining over 1,500 global delegates, Indorama Ventures actively engaged in critical conversations around sustainability, innovation, and industry collaboration. Before the conference, the company’s Combined PET segment—the world’s largest producer and recycler of PET bottles—hosted a reception for around 200 customers, suppliers, and partners. The event featured a traditional Thai puppet show and an immersive VR experience through the company’s 360 Gallery. This highlighted its leadership in circular innovation.

Innovation as a Catalyst for Sustainability
During the panel discussion “Reimagining Petrochemicals,” Dr. Anthony Watanabe, Chief Sustainability Officer at Indorama Ventures, called for the industry to move beyond incremental improvements. He advocated for systemic innovation, greater sourcing transparency, and faster adoption of climate-positive technologies to ensure long-term sustainability.
Dr. Tinnabhop Santadkha, Sustainability Innovation Specialist, delivered a keynote titled “Indorama Ventures’ Alternative Feedstocks.” He detailed investments in bio-based materials, chemical recycling, and alternative feedstocks, all aimed at lowering emissions and scaling a circular economy.
Empowering Change at the Community Level
Naweensuda Krabuanrat, Head of Global CSR, Recycling Education, and Thai Advocacy, spoke in a session on building circular economy ecosystems. She presented the company’s efforts to create community-based PET collection systems. She emphasized the dual need for infrastructure and behavior change to drive true systems-level transformation.
