Asahi India Glass to Acquire Stake in AIS Adhesives

Asahi India Glass planning to acquire stake in AIS Adhesives (AIA) from Map Auto, aiming to tap into the growing downstream consumer retail market segment. The acquisition targets to leverage AIA’s strong brand presence and three-decade track record of delivering quality glass adhesives and services to consumers.

The strategic move will provide Asahi India Glass a competitive edge in the consumer glass segment, without altering the company’s existing structure significantly. Currently, Asahi India holds 47.83% equity in AIS Adhesives.

Asahi India Glass also plans to purchase equity shares of AIS Distribution Services (ADSL) from Map Auto. The acquisition will have no structural impact on the company, as Asahi India Glass already owns 49.99% equity in AIS Distribution Services and continues to endorse its management. As reported by MoneyWorks4Me, Asahi India Glass is a foremost integrated provider of glass and window solutions, poised to expand its market presence through strategic acquisitions in related consumer-facing business lines.
