BPCL Assures Uninterrupted LPG Supply

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Fortune Global 500 company and Maharatna PSU, has confirmed that LPG supply across India remains stable and fully aligned with prevailing consumption patterns. The company reported consistent dispatches across domestic, commercial, and bulk segments over the past ten days, reinforcing supply reliability.

Strong Dispatch Volumes Reflect Steady Demand

Between April 12 and April 21, BPCL delivered:

*11.39 million domestic LPG cylinders

*2,87,867 commercial cylinders

*2,22,444 full truckload (FTL) bulk supplies

These figures highlight a smooth and uninterrupted flow of LPG across the supply chain. Notably, the dispatch pattern indicates normal demand behaviour, with no signs of unusual spikes in consumer bookings.

Balanced Offtake Signals Market Stability

Industry observers emphasize that a balanced offtake between domestic and commercial segments is a key indicator of supply stability. In this context, BPCL’s dispatch data demonstrates that both household and institutional demand are being efficiently met. Moreover, the steady movement of LPG suggests continuous replenishment of distributor inventories, maintenance of regular delivery cycles and absence of supply-side disruptions.

Robust Logistics Ensures Seamless Distribution

BPCL continues to leverage its integrated logistics network, which includes refineries, import terminals, bottling plants, and an extensive distributor base. As a result, the company has maintained consistent throughput across regions. Additionally, bulk LPG movement through FTL supplies has remained stable, thereby supporting commercial establishments, industrial users and large-scale institutional demand.

Expansion of PNG Network Reduces Cylinder Dependence

In parallel, BPCL is accelerating its city gas distribution (CGD) expansion. The company has reported 181,405 active PNG (piped natural gas) connections to date. This growing adoption of piped gas is gradually reducing dependence on LPG cylinders in urban areas, enhancing energy accessibility and supporting cleaner fuel transition initiatives.

Outlook: Supply Remains Normal and Reliable

As per the press release, with sustained dispatches, balanced demand trends, and continuous inventory replenishment, BPCL has reiterated that LPG supplies across the country remain normal. Deliveries are proceeding smoothly, in line with routine consumption patterns, ensuring uninterrupted access for consumers across segments.
