Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) announced the nationwide rollout of its ‘Zero Ka Dum’ (ZKD) certification drive across all its liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) bottling operations, underscoring a major step toward strengthening manufacturing standards, safety, and quality assurance across India’s critical energy infrastructure. Launched on October 16, 2025, at BPCL’s Loni bottling plant, the initiative represents a transformational shift in how the company manages operational quality—ensuring every LPG cylinder reaching consumers is thoroughly verified and defect-free.

Under the ZKD initiative, each BPCL LPG plant will undergo a third-party audit conducted by agencies accredited by the National Accreditation Board for Certification Bodies (NABCB). The certification process covers the entire lifecycle of an LPG cylinder—from bottling to delivery—and guarantees that BPCL dispatches only cylinders meeting stringent safety and quality standards to consumers.

So far, 50 bottling plants have achieved certification, with the rest slated to follow under a phased compliance roadmap.
