Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited partnered with Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited (GACL) to accelerate industrial decarbonisation through a large-scale hybrid renewable energy project in Gujarat. The initiative combines 75.90 MW of wind power and 84.34 MWp of solar capacity, making it the largest group captive renewable energy deal secured by CleanMax to date. The partnership further strengthens CleanMax’s position as a key Net-Zero transition partner for energy-intensive industries seeking sustainable and cost-effective power solutions.

Hybrid Renewable Project to Power GACL Manufacturing Operations

Under the agreement, the hybrid renewable energy project will supply clean power to GACL’s manufacturing facilities in Gujarat. As one of India’s leading chlor-alkali producers, GACL operates highly energy-intensive manufacturing processes, making renewable energy integration a critical component of its sustainability strategy. By increasing the share of renewable power in its energy mix, GACL aims to reduce carbon emissions while improving operational efficiency and long-term cost competitiveness.

Sustainability at the Core of GACL’s Growth Strategy

Highlighting the importance of the collaboration, Avantika Singh, IAS, representing GACL, stated that sustainability remains a central pillar of the company’s long-term growth strategy. She noted that integrating hybrid renewable energy into GACL’s operations will enhance energy reliability while significantly reducing the environmental footprint of its manufacturing activities. The initiative aligns with the company’s broader commitment to responsible industrial growth and environmental stewardship.

Gujarat Emerges as a Renewable Energy Hub

CleanMax continues to expand its renewable energy footprint in Gujarat, leveraging the state’s strong solar and wind resources and favourable open-access policies. As of March 31, 2026, the company has approximately 844 MW of operational renewable energy capacity across the state. This supportive ecosystem has enabled industries in Gujarat to accelerate their transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.

CleanMax Reinforces Its Role in Industrial Net-Zero Transition

Kuldeep Jain, Founder and Managing Director of Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions Limited, said the project demonstrates how large manufacturing companies can successfully adopt renewable energy at scale. He added that Gujarat remains a strategic market for CleanMax due to its robust industrial base and abundant renewable energy potential. As reported by scanX, as industries increasingly pursue decarbonisation and sustainability goals, the CleanMax-GACL collaboration highlights the growing role of hybrid renewable energy projects in driving India’s industrial energy transition.
