The newly commissioned site significantly strengthens Croda’s ability to meet rising customer demand. In particular, it improves responsiveness, enhances supply chain efficiency, and supports long-term growth in high-value segments.
Located in Gujarat, the facility benefits from strong logistics connectivity. Consequently, it is well-positioned to serve both domestic customers and select export markets. The plant will cater to key business segments, including Consumer Care, Life Sciences, and Industrial Specialties.
Built Green, Smart, and Future-Ready
Designed around the theme “Built Green. Built Smart. Built for the Future,” the Dahej facility places sustainability at its core. From the outset, Croda has integrated advanced measures to reduce environmental impact. For instance, the site is expected to significantly lower Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by utilizing renewable electricity and cleaner fuel sources. In addition, it will feature Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) systems, scheduled to become operational later this year. The facility uses RSPO-certified oleochemicals and aligns with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements for plastic recycling. As a result, it supports both regulatory compliance and Croda’s broader sustainability goals.

Beyond sustainability, the plant incorporates advanced operating systems, robust quality infrastructure, and stringent safety protocols. These features ensure reliable and efficient manufacturing processes. Notably, during construction, the project achieved over 5 million safe working hours, reflecting Croda’s strong “Safety First Always” culture. This milestone underscores the company’s unwavering focus on workplace safety.

In addition to operational excellence, Croda is actively promoting inclusivity at the Dahej site. The facility features 100% women-led packaging operations, demonstrating a progressive approach to workforce diversity. Moreover, the company aims to achieve 30% female representation at the site, further strengthening its commitment to inclusive growth.
