In response to the government’s directive instructing sugar mills and distilleries not to use sugarcane juice or sugar syrup for ethanol production, Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Limited has made a swift transition. Both distilleries situated in Bundki (Dwarikesh Nagar) unit and Faridpur (Dwarikesh Dham) unit have ceased the utilisation of sugarcane juice/syrup as feedstock for ethanol production.

As reported by ChiniMandi, with the granted permission to produce ethanol from B heavy molasses, the company has shifted to using B heavy molasses as the primary feedstock for ethanol production. The required infrastructure for this transition has already been established at both the mentioned units.
