GAIL (India) Limited has been honoured with the prestigious ‘GreenCo Champion Award’ at the 14th edition of the CII GreenCo Summit 2025, held in Hyderabad. Shri Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development), accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Presented by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the GreenCo Champion Award celebrates organizations that demonstrate outstanding commitment to environmental sustainability across their operations. GAIL earned this recognition through the active participation of its operational units in CII’s GreenCo rating system. This is a comprehensive framework that evaluates performance across multiple parameters. These include energy efficiency, water and waste management, use of renewable energy, green supply chain practices, and carbon footprint reduction.
Platinum Ratings for Key Pipeline Projects
Further solidifying its leadership in sustainable energy infrastructure, GAIL’s Jagdishpur-Haldia and Bokaro-Dhamra Pipeline (JHBDPL) – Ranchi Section and Kochi-Koottanad-Bangalore-Mangalore Pipeline (KKBMPL) – Kochi Section received the coveted ‘GreenCo Platinum Rating’. This is the highest certification level under the GreenCo framework and reflects GAIL’s deep-rooted commitment to green practices. With these recognitions, the number of GreenCo-certified GAIL sites has now reached ten. This marks a major milestone in its sustainability journey.
