The Indian Biogas Association (IBA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to advance India’s bioenergy and bio-hydrogen sectors. This strategic collaboration aims to strengthen the country’s clean energy transition by promoting technological exchange, joint training, and policy advocacy.

Knowledge Centre and Capacity Building at the Core

The MoU establishes a joint knowledge centre focused on bioenergy innovatio The two organizations will share technological and infrastructural resources and co-organize training programs to develop skilled professionals for India’s growing biofuels industry.

IOCL and IBA will also work together on research and development (R&D) initiatives and actively engage in policy advocacy to promote biogas adoption across the country. Established in 2011 and restructured in 2015, the Indian Biogas Association is India’s first professional body dedicated to promoting biogas.
