Ace Green Recycling, Inc., a global player in sustainable battery recycling technologies, has announced the expansion of its licensing partnership with ACME Metal Enterprise, a prominent Taiwanese lead recycler. This deepened collaboration builds on ACME’s successful implementation of Ace’s GREENLEAD® zero-emission technology since 2024 at its Taiwan facility.

Licensing Agreement Adds Metallics Treatment Capability

The updated agreement introduces metallics treatment to ACME’s lead battery recycling operations. As part of this expansion, Ace will install its proprietary Grid Metallics Processing System (GMPS), a breakthrough technology designed to process grid metallics from over 65 million pounds of lead-acid batteries annually.

The GMPS system cleans metallics from the battery breaker and separator systems, producing high-purity metallics that can be efficiently melted to create value-added lead alloys. Ace plans to commission the GMPS in Q4 2025.

Boosting Output to Meet Automotive Demand

With this new capability, ACME’s facility will be able to produce over 17 million pounds of refined lead and lead alloys annually—sufficient to support the manufacture of more than 1 million automotive batteries. This positions ACME to meet the growing demands of the automotive and battery manufacturing sectors, both locally and globally.

Partnership Built on Performance and Innovation

“We’ve seen the power of Ace’s cutting-edge, environmentally-friendly technology firsthand,” said Linus P. Lu, Managing Director of ACME. “Ace has truly set a new industry benchmark in lead battery recycling, and we’re excited to expand our use of their systems to better serve our customers,” Lu added. Nishchay Chadha, CEO and Co-Founder of Ace, echoed, “ACME continues to be a trusted partner, and this expanded agreement validates the strength and scalability of our recycling solutions. It’s also a key step in advancing Ace’s asset-light, global growth strategy, while enhancing revenue and margin opportunities.”

Strategic Move in a High-Potential Market

The collaboration reinforces Ace’s commitment to deploying clean, scalable recycling solutions in key international markets. Prnewswire.com reports that the partnership combines ACME’s market leadership with Ace’s zero-emission technology. This collaboration is paving the way for a more sustainable and circular lead battery value chain.
