INA Solar has announced plans to set up a 3 GW solar cell manufacturing line in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh, as part of a larger initiative to scale up its integrated solar manufacturing capabilities. The company has already secured land for the facility. It will also include a 4 GW solar module line and capacity to produce 54,000 metric tons of aluminum frames.

Construction Set to Begin in FY2026

INA Solar expects to break ground by Q1 of fiscal year 2026, with the solar cell line targeted for commissioning in the first half of FY2027. This move aligns with India’s growing emphasis on domestic solar manufacturing and reducing import dependence for key components.

Expanding Footprint in Rajasthan and Beyond

The project adds to INA Solar’s existing operations in Rajasthan, where it manufactures mono PERC and TOPCon n-type modules at its 950 MW facility. In addition, the company is nearing completion of a 3 GW solar module line in Jaipur, which is expected to go live in the next four to six weeks.

Building a Fully Integrated Solar Manufacturing Ecosystem

With the Narmadapuram facility, INA Solar is positioning itself as a vertically integrated player in India’s solar value chain. The company will cover everything from cell and module manufacturing to aluminum frame production. As reported by pv-magazine-india.com, the project marks a significant step in strengthening India’s renewable energy manufacturing backbone. It also supports the country’s broader energy transition goals.
