Jakson Green bagged a major win in the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) sixth green ammonia auction, emerging as the successful bidder with a capacity of 85,000 tonnes per annum (tpa).
Record-Low Bid Sets New Benchmark
The company achieved a record-low price of ₹50.75 per kg, surpassing the previous benchmark of ₹51.80/kg. This milestone sets a new standard for green ammonia pricing in India, strengthening competitiveness in the renewable energy sector.
Supplying to Coromandel International
As part of the agreement, Jakson Green will supply green ammonia to Coromandel International Ltd (CIL) in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, marking a significant step in decarbonizing fertilizer production and related industries.
Backed by the SIGHT Scheme
The capacity was tendered under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme, Mode-2A, which ensures assured offtake provisions. This framework provides long-term market stability for producers while advancing India’s clean energy transition.
