Jakson Engineers, a subsidiary of Jakson Group, will invest over ₹8,000 crore to establish a six GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh. This ambitious project marks the largest solar manufacturing investment in the state to date.
Project Details and Phased Execution
The facility, spread across 110 acres in Maksi Phase II, will be developed in two strategic phases. Phase I involves an investment of ₹2,000 crore and will deliver three GW each of solar modules and cells, with production targeted for May and September 2026, respectively. Phase II, valued at over ₹6,000 crore, will add a six GW solar wafer plant and another three GW each of modules and cells, further strengthening India’s renewable manufacturing ecosystem.
Innovative Four-in-One Model
Gagan Chanana, CEO, Jakson Solar Modules and Cells, stared, “four-in-one” model, which covers manufacturing, EPC, development, and operations & maintenance (O&M). This integrated approach aims to reduce costs, enhance efficiency, and promote self-reliance in India’s solar sector. As reported by projectstoday.com, Jakson selected Madhya Pradesh for its central location and investor-friendly policies, making it an ideal base for large-scale renewable manufacturing.
