KBC Unveils Multiflash 7.6 to Enhance CCS and Complex Fluid Modeling

KBC (A Yokogawa Company) announced the launch of Multiflash® 7.6, the latest version of its industry-leading PVT modeling and physical properties software. Designed to meet the rising demands of decarbonization, stricter environmental regulations, and increasingly complex process conditions, the new release delivers higher accuracy, enhanced functionality, and improved model stability.

Expanding its reach beyond traditional upstream and flow assurance applications, Multiflash 7.6 strengthens its role in the chemical, petrochemical, and fertilizer industries, enabling operators to tackle more sophisticated modeling challenges with confidence.

Multiflash 7.6 addresses one of the most common challenges in process simulation. It delivers enhanced model stability by resolving discontinuities in cubic equations of state. This improvement ensures more reliable and consistent performance across various thermodynamic and transport property models. It remains stable even under critical operating conditions.

Extended Applications for Chemicals, Petrochemicals, and Fertilizers

With this release, Multiflash extends its capabilities deep into polymer, chemical, and fertilizer production systems. The update enables more accurate simulation of polymeric fluids, enhancing process design and optimization for polymer manufacturing. Additionally, Multiflash 7.6 provides specialized modeling for urea and ammonium carbamate systems.
