Navin Fluorine Approves Funds for Expansion and Upgradation

Navin Fluorine International Limited (NFIL) has approved a capital expenditure of ₹311.5 crore to expand and upgrade its production facilities, reinforcing its commitment to meet rising demand and enhance operational efficiency across its business segments.

Strengthening HFC Production Capacity in Surat

NFIL will invest ₹236.5 crore from the total outlay to set up additional hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) capacity of up to 15,000 MTPA of R32 equivalent at its Surat unit.

The expansion aims to meet the growing demand for R32, a widely used refrigerant in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, driven by increased adoption of energy-efficient cooling solutions.

This investment aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen its specialty chemical and refrigerant portfolio, positioning NFIL as a key domestic supplier amid evolving global environmental and regulatory frameworks.

Enhancing Efficiency at Dahej Multi-Purpose Plant

Additionally, ₹75 crore has been allocated for debottlenecking and upgrading the Multi-Purpose Plant (MPP) at Dahej. The project will focus on optimising existing operations, boosting throughput, and improving overall production efficiency across NFIL’s advanced chemistry capabilities.

Managed by Wholly-Owned Subsidiary

Navin Fluorine Advanced Sciences Limited (NFASL), the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, will execute the entire expansion and upgradation plan. NFASL leads NFIL’s advanced chemistry initiatives, driving innovation and expanding capacity in high-value fluorochemicals and specialty products.

Driving Growth and Operational Excellence

With this strategic capex, Navin Fluorine International continues to expand its manufacturing footprint and strengthen supply reliability. The investment also supports India’s growing demand for advanced refrigerants and fluorochemicals. As reported by projectstoday.com, the investment enhances NFIL’s long-term growth potential. It also reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable and technology-driven manufacturing excellence.
