Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) is set to collaborate with France-based TotalEnergies to establish a sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) project at Paradip in eastern Odisha. The proposed facility will have a planned production capacity of 200 kilotonnes per year, marking a significant step in India’s emerging SAF ecosystem.
Preliminary Agreement Expected at India Energy Week
The two companies are expected to sign a preliminary agreement during India Energy Week, which begins on January 27. The agreement will outline the framework for technical cooperation, project development, and future investment related to the SAF facility. Through this partnership, NRL aims to strengthen its presence in low-carbon fuels, while leveraging TotalEnergies’ global expertise in sustainable aviation fuel technologies.
LNG Supply Tie-Up to Support Future Energy Demand
