On the occasion of the Republic Day celebrations in 2026, the Government of India announced the Padma Awards. The awards are announced annually on the eve of Republic Day in recognition of contributions that have advanced the nation’s intellectual, cultural, scientific, social and public life, and are presented by the President of India.
