Petronet LNG Ltd. approved the appointment of Sanjay Kumar as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of the company. The Board of Directors approved the appointment at its meeting held on October 2, 2026. Kumar, who currently serves as Director (Marketing) at GAIL (India) Ltd., will take charge as Petronet LNG’s MD & CEO from the date of vacancy, May 13, 2027.
Appointment Follows Board Committee Recommendation
The appointment follows the recommendation of Petronet LNG’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Kumar will assume the leadership role once the position becomes vacant on May 13, 2027.
