The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has appointed Rajiv Memani, Chairman and CEO of EY India, as its President for 2025–26. He takes over from Sanjiv Puri, Chairman & Managing Director of ITC Ltd.

Rajiv Memani, a member of the EY Global Executive Board, also serves as Chair of EY’s Growth Markets Council, where he drives strategy across emerging economies. A seasoned advisor to leading Indian and multinational firms, he specialises in M&A, growth strategies, and capital allocation.
President-Designate Brings Deep Tata Experience
R. Mukundan, who began his journey with Tata Administrative Services in 1990, brings over three decades of multi-sectoral experience across chemicals, automotive, and hospitality. An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, FMS Delhi, and Harvard Business School, he also holds fellowships and advisory roles in various industry and academic bodies.
Ella’s Legacy in Science and Industry
Suchitra K. Ella, a trailblazer in biotechnology, co-founded Bharat Biotech in 1996. Her entrepreneurial efforts span across veterinary sciences, agri-biotech, and food processing. Recognised with the Padma Bhushan in 2022, she has made significant contributions to India’s scientific and industrial landscape.
