Saudi Chemical to set up Facility in Ras Al Khair

Saudi Chemical Co. Holding (SCCH) through its subsidiary Saudi Chemical Co. Ltd. (SCCL), entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Dyno Nobel to establish a facility for the production of ammonium nitrate and nitric acid in Ras Al Khair.

The MoU will be active for a duration of six months, during which comprehensive reviews of preliminary studies and the financial model of the project will be conducted. The initial designs will be developed by a specialised engineering firm to facilitate the final assessment of the project’s feasibility. As reported by argaam, the estimated annual production capacity for nitric acid at the facility is 4,40,000 tons, while for ammonium nitrate, it is set at 3,00,000 tons.
