Serigen Bags the Dr Keki Gharda Industrial Innovation Award

Serigen has bagged the first Dr K.H. Gharda Industrial Innovation Award in polymer science from Society for Polymer Science India (SPSI) “For having developed the only natural silk-based high strength porous material, that can be used for bone-repair, through a novel process of solution reprocessing of silk”.

The brand has leveraged the novel technology to develop serioss (co-developed by Serigen and National Chemical Laboratory), the next-gen bone repair solution powered by silk protein!

As per the press release, named in honour of Dr Keki Hormusji Gharda, a pioneering entrepreneur who built the engineering polymers, pigments, and agrochemicals industry in India, the award recognizes innovation in the area of polymer science and technology in industry.
