Tanfac Industries successfully commissioned a 5,000 tons per annum (TPA) Solar Grade Dilute Hydrofluoric Acid (DHF) plant, marking a significant milestone in India’s clean energy value chain. This makes Tanfac the first Indian chemical company to operationalize a Solar Grade DHF facility.
Product Validated by Leading Solar Energy Player
The commissioning follows a successful trial production phase, during which one of India’s leading solar energy producers approved the plant’s output after confirming it met stringent solar-grade quality standards. This validation underscores the plant’s readiness for full-scale commercial production.
Phase Two Expansion Underway
Building on this achievement, Tanfac has already begun work on phase two of the project, which will double the capacity to 10,000 TPA. The expansion is on track for commissioning within the next three months, further strengthening Tanfac’s role in supporting India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem.
Powering India’s Solar Future
Solar Grade DHF is a critical raw material used in solar panel manufacturing, and Tanfac’s investment enhances domestic availability, reducing reliance on imports. As reported by business-standard.com, this strategic move aligns with India’s push for self-reliance in clean energy technologies and reinforces Tanfac’s position as a key enabler of sustainable industrial growth.
