TCI Adds 1.5 Lakh Sq. Ft. Cold Chain Capacity in Gurugram

TCI expands cold chain warehousing capacity

Transport Corporation of India Ltd. (TCI) expands its cold chain warehousing capacity in Gurugram with the addition of a 1.5 lakh sq. ft. temperature-controlled facility at Taj Nagar, responding to the growing demand for scalable cold chain infrastructure across the National Capital Region (NCR).

Strengthening Cold Chain Infrastructure in NCR

With over 16 million sq. ft. of warehousing space managed nationwide, TCI continues to reinforce its integrated logistics network to support high-growth and compliance-driven industries. The new facility will be operated by TCI Cold Chain Solutions Ltd., a joint venture between TCI and Mitsui & Co., Japan, and is designed to handle high-throughput requirements across sectors including quick commerce, QSR, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, dairy, meat and poultry, beauty and life sciences, and specialty chemicals.

Strategic Location for Faster Distribution

Located between the KMP Expressway and the Dwarka Expressway, the Taj Nagar warehouse offers unrestricted 24×7 truck access, being outside heavy vehicle no-entry zones. This strategic positioning enables faster turnaround times and seamless distribution across Delhi NCR and adjoining markets such as Jaipur, making it ideal for time-sensitive and last-mile distribution operations.

Flexible, Multi-Temperature Storage Solutions

The facility offers multi-temperature storage across frozen, chilled, and air-conditioned zones. It operates on box-in/box-out, unit-in/unit-out, and pallet-in/pallet-out models, supported by a pay-as-you-use commercial structure. This flexibility allows customers to scale capacity and throughput in line with evolving business needs, particularly in high-velocity supply chains.

Focus on Safety, Technology, and Sustainability

Built with a strong emphasis on safety and sustainability, the warehouse features a 500-kW rooftop solar power system, energy-efficient refrigeration, SCADA-based monitoring, VESDA-based early smoke detection, and over 600 CCTV cameras for real-time surveillance. The fully gated, access-controlled campus also provides ample truck parking to ensure smooth inbound and outbound operations.
