Thermax Limited announced that its subsidiary, Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions (TBWES), has bagged a boiler package supply order worth approximately ₹1,600 crore. The contract is for a 1×800 MW ultra-supercritical thermal power project being developed by a leading thermal power company in Central India. The order marks a significant addition to Thermax’s portfolio of large-scale energy projects and reinforces the company’s expertise in delivering advanced thermal power solutions.
Scope of Work for the Ultra-Supercritical Project
Under the agreement, TBWES will handle the manufacturing, supply, commissioning, and performance testing of the boiler package for the ultra-supercritical power plant. Ultra-supercritical technology is widely regarded as a more efficient and cleaner thermal power generation technology, as it operates at higher temperatures and pressures, improving plant efficiency while reducing emissions.
