TGV SRAAC Limited (formerly Sree Rayalaseema Alkalies and Allied Chemicals Ltd.) awarded a significant contract to thyssenkrupp nucera to expand its caustic soda plant in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. The project will increase the plant’s capacity from the existing 1,000 tons per day (tpd) to 1,500 tpd, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth journey.

Advanced Technology and Comprehensive Engineering Scope

thyssenkrupp nucera will execute the project using its proprietary e-BiTAC technology with Generation 7 elements, delivering cutting-edge efficiency and reliability. The scope of work includes engineering and proprietary supplies. It also involves installing three additional electrolysers, bringing the total to 13 units.

Additional upgrades include the development of a new chlorine handling system and a Waste Air Dichlorination System. The project will also enhance the primary and secondary brine purification processes, ensuring a robust and environmentally sound operation.
