Water Conservation Initiatives
Over the past five years, the company has constructed and revitalized more than 23 water conservation structures, including ponds, lakes, and check dams.
Biodiversity Restoration
UPL is restoring Gujarat’s intertidal ecosystems through large-scale mangrove plantations in Vagra Taluka, Bharuch. To date:
*Over 4.95 lakh saplings planted across 250 acres
*2.66 lakh trees created 715 acres of green cover since 2016 through social forestry initiatives
Additionally, UPL’s Sarus Conservation Project, launched in 2015, continues to protect the iconic Sarus Crane in Kheda and Anand districts. FY25 recordings show 1,431 birds across 400 sq. km, representing a 186% increase from the FY16 baseline of 500.
