Advait Battery Ecosystem, a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions, signed a Master Supply Agreement with energy storage manufacturer HiTHIUM for the supply of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cells. Under the agreement, HiTHIUM will supply its 314 Ah LFP battery cells to support Advait’s upcoming battery energy storage system (BESS) assembly plant in India.
1 GWh Cell Supply to Support BESS Production
Advait plans to procure up to 1 GWh of battery cells from HiTHIUM over the next 12 months. The supply arrangement will support the company as it moves towards commercial production and scales its domestic BESS assembly capabilities. Advait is developing a BESS assembly facility with an annual capacity of 2.5 GWh. The company plans to build capabilities across battery module and pack assembly as it expands its presence in India’s energy storage market.
