As the global pharmaceutical industry accelerates toward innovation, advanced manufacturing, automation, and deeper collaboration, CPHI & PMEC India 2026 has announced a major expansion. The move reflects not only the increasing scale of the event but also the rapid evolution of India’s pharmaceutical ecosystem. Now in its 19th edition, the platform will adopt a dual-venue format in Delhi-NCR, enabling more focused engagement and improved industry participation at scale.

Dual Venues and Overlapping Schedule to Enhance Engagement

CPHI India will take place from 23–25 November 2026 at Yashobhoomi (India International Convention and Expo Centre), while PMEC India will be held from 24–26 November 2026 at India Expo Mart. The partially overlapping schedules create a continuous four-day engagement window. As a result, attendees will gain greater flexibility, while exhibitors can unlock expanded networking and collaboration opportunities across the pharmaceutical value chain.

A Legacy Platform Enters Its Next Phase

For nearly two decades, CPHI and PMEC India have served as the “Heart of Pharma” in India, bringing together global and domestic stakeholders to connect, collaborate, and grow. However, as the industry becomes more specialised and technology-driven, the event has evolved accordingly. This expanded format marks a new chapter—one that aligns with an ecosystem increasingly defined by innovation, digitalisation, and outcome-driven partnerships.

India’s Rising Influence in Global Pharmaceuticals

India continues to strengthen its position as a global pharmaceutical powerhouse. Currently the third-largest producer of pharmaceuticals by volume, the country supplies over 20% of the world’s generic medicines. India is steadily expanding its capabilities across Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), finished dosage formulations, contract manufacturing and biotechnology and advanced therapies. With the domestic pharma market projected to reach $130 billion by 2030, the sector is entering a phase of sustained growth and global relevance. At the same time, rapid adoption of digitalisation and AI-driven manufacturing is transforming quality systems, compliance, and operational efficiency. Consequently, the need for high-quality, focused industry platforms has never been greater.

Expansion Driven by Industry Demand

As participation in the event grew in both scale and diversity, the limitations of a single venue became increasingly evident. Therefore, organisers undertook an extensive evaluation process. Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets India informs, “The decision to expand CPHI & PMEC India into a two-venue format was driven by research and clear industry feedback. After an 18-month international, consultant-led study and extensive stakeholder consultations, it became evident that the platform had outgrown a single venue.” He further added that the overlapping schedule effectively creates an additional day, improving time efficiency, enabling cross-show synergy, and delivering stronger return on investment for participants.

Building a Future-Ready Pharma Platform

By removing space constraints and introducing specialised zones, the new format aims to deliver deeper engagement and clearer segmentation.

Furthermore, this transformation is designed to:

*Enable innovation across the pharma value chain

*Support meaningful business interactions

*Maintain continuity, trust, and industry value

The expansion reinforces India’s growing position as the “pharmacy of the world.”

CPHI India: A Global Hub for Pharma Ingredients and Services

Hosted at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, CPHI India 2026 will continue to serve as a globally connected platform for pharmaceutical ingredients and APIs, excipients and formulations, contract research and manufacturing services (CROs/CDMOs) and biotechnology and allied services. As per the press release, the event will bring together a diverse mix of manufacturers, innovators, and service providers, thereby supporting global sourcing, export growth, and strategic partnerships.
