Jindal Lifestyle, a subsidiary of India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, Jindal Stainless, commissioned a state-of-the-art powder coating facility at its Pathredi plant in Gurugram, Haryana. With an annual production capacity of 5,000 metric tonnes, the new facility strengthens the company’s manufacturing capabilities by introducing powder coating as an additional specialized surface-finishing solution. Through this expansion, Jindal Lifestyle aims to broaden its
finished-product portfolio and serve a wider range of industries, including metro rail, automotive, infrastructure, medical equipment racks, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and luggage handling systems.
Advanced Technology for High-Quality Surface Finishing
The new powder coating facility features an automated conveyor-based process supported by advanced spray technology, nine water tanks and specialized nano pre-treatment chemistry. Furthermore, its conveyor system can accommodate components of varying sizes, enabling the company to process a diverse range of products for mobility, infrastructure and industrial applications. These advanced capabilities will help Jindal Lifestyle deliver a wider selection of surface finishes while meeting evolving customer requirements for product quality, durability and aesthetics.
Strengthening Manufacturing Capabilities and Product Portfolio

The expanded manufacturing capabilities will particularly strengthen Jindal Lifestyle’s luggage handling systems and metro rail product portfolio.
Its existing product range includes:
Handrails for metro rail systems.
Car body shell components, including side walls, roofs, end walls and underframes.
Electrical cabinets and battery boxes.
Finished products for luggage handling systems.
Additionally, Jindal Lifestyle supplies finished products to projects and customers across India and international markets, including Germany, New Zealand, the UAE and Brazil. The powder coating facility will further expand the range of surface-finishing solutions available to these customers and markets.
