PCBL Ltd, a known name in carbon black and specialty chemicals, has unveiled plans to acquire the complete 100% stake in Aquapharm Chemicals Pvt Ltd (ACPL) at a total cost of ₹3,800 crore. With this strategic move, PCBL marks its entry into the international specialty segments of water treatment chemicals and oil and gas chemicals. The funding for this significant transaction is set to be sourced from a blend of internal accruals and external fundraising.
ACPL, headquartered in Pune, is a specialty chemicals company on a global scale. As reported by mint, the company specialises in the production of water treatment chemicals and operates manufacturing units in India, the United States, and Saudi Arabia. Overseas plants are managed through subsidiaries, showcasing ACPL’s robust global presence.
