TCS and Cisco Launch CoE for Autonomous Enterprise

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) partnered with Cisco Systems to launch a Center of Excellence (CoE) for Autonomous Enterprise Operations at its Synergy Park Campus in Hyderabad. Through this strategic collaboration, the companies aim to help enterprises transition from rule-based automation to intelligent, self-governing operations. Importantly, the CoE will enable organizations to adopt zero-touch operations, reduce operational complexity, and deliver measurable business outcomes by eliminating friction across IT environments.

Moving from Automation to Autonomous Operations

Unlike traditional automation models that rely on predefined rules, the new CoE focuses on building AI-driven systems capable of real-time contextual understanding and autonomous decision-making.

By leveraging an Agentic AI mesh architecture, the platform will allow enterprises to:

*Sense and contextualize behavioral states in real time through advanced observability

*Assist and automate processes using conversational AI layers

*Orchestrate and self-heal systems through intelligent automation frameworks

*As a result, enterprises can shift from reactive IT management to proactive, outcome-driven operations.

An Experience Hub for AI-First Innovation

Located at TCS’ Hyderabad campus, the CoE will function as an immersive experience hub. It will guide enterprises through the TCS Five-Level Services Autonomy Model, enabling them to achieve progressively higher levels of operational autonomy.

Furthermore, the center will combine Cisco’s AI-driven technology stack with TCS’ deep industry expertise to co-create next-generation, AI-first solutions across sectors. These solutions will be tailored to client-specific business processes, ensuring contextualized and scalable deployment.

Redefining IT’s Role in Business Outcomes

The transition to autonomous operations goes beyond improving efficiency. Instead, it fundamentally changes how IT supports business strategy. Enterprises will move from siloed, performance-metric-driven IT models to integrated, experience-centric operating frameworks focused on measurable business impact. Consequently, IT will evolve from a support function to a strategic enabler of agility, resilience, and innovation.

Leadership Perspectives

Tim Coogan, Senior Vice President, Global Partner Sales at Cisco, emphasized the strength of the long-standing partnership. He noted that the CoE combines Cisco’s AI-powered technologies with TCS’ deep industry expertise. Together, this collaboration will accelerate customers’ journeys toward autonomous operations and greater business agility.

Rajanna, President–Technology Software and Services at TCS, highlighted that the two companies have collaborated for over two decades to deliver innovation at scale. According to him, the CoE will act as a co-innovation platform that empowers enterprises with self-learning, self-acting, and self-governing IT capabilities while delivering measurable business impact.

Powering the Next Generation of Connected IT Ecosystems

Building on a robust 20-year partnership, TCS and Cisco are now shaping the future of business autonomy. Together, they are designing next-generation connected IT ecosystems that enable enterprises to innovate, collaborate, and adapt continuously.

The CoE will integrate advanced solutions including Cisco AppDynamics, Cisco Splunk, TCS ignio™, and TCS Cognix™, along with enterprise-grade application ecosystems. These technologies will provide real-time visibility, AI-driven decision-making, and intelligent problem-solving.

As per the press release, the initiative sets the stage for a new era of Agent + Human collaboration. In this model, context-aware systems enhance user experience, reduce operational overhead, and accelerate the shift toward perpetually adaptive, autonomous enterprises.
