Oil India Invites Tenders to Set Up CBG Facility in Tripura

Oil India Limited opened the bidding process to develop a 160-ton-per-day (TPD) municipal solid waste-based Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant in Agartala, Tripura. The project will convert urban solid waste into renewable fuel, supporting the government’s push for sustainable energy and waste-to-energy solutions.

EPCOM Scope and Waste Streams

The project, covering engineering, procurement, construction, operation, and maintenance (EPCOM), will be implemented in two streams:

*80 TPD from mixed municipal solid waste

*80 TPD from source-segregated waste

Designed for commercial use, the plant will demonstrate an integrated approach to renewable energy generation while managing urban waste effectively.
