Adani New Industries Bags LOA from Solar Energy to Manufacture Electrolysers

Adani New Industries Ltd, a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, has secured a significant Letter of Award (LoA) from Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd. The LoA is related to the establishment of a manufacturing capacity for electrolysers in India, aligning with the strategic interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition Scheme (Tranche-I).

Adani New Industries will establish a manufacturing capacity for electrolysers amounting to 198.5 MW per annum in India. The project is categorised under the production linked incentive scheme (PLI) for electrolyser manufacturing, and it is expected to be completed within a specified execution period of 30 months from the LoA’s issuance date.

As reported by CNBC TV 18, the aim of the initiative is to create an alkaline electrolysers facility falling under bucket-II, utilising indigenous technology. The maximum incentive allocated over a period of five years from the scheduled commissioning date is fixed at ₹293.78 crore.
