Ahasolar Technologies clinched a consulting contract from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to establish a fifty-two MW solar project in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Securing the ten-month contract by quoting ₹5.1 million, Ahasolar aims to leverage the project to provide power to three of BPC’s refineries: allocating 8 MW for the Mumbai refinery, 22 MW for the Bina refinery, and 16 MW for the Kochi refinery.

As reported by RenewableWatch, Ahasolar will oversee the entire project lifecycle from conceptualisation to completion within the agreed-upon timeframe. Their responsibilities encompass ensuring the quality of procurement items and construction workmanship aligns with established engineering practices, standards, and codes, while effectively managing project risks.

Additionally, Ahasolar is entrusted with developing and finalizing all engineering and tender documentation, technical specifications, and the terms of the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract.

Ahasolar will also manage the technical and financial evaluation of EPC bids received by BPCL. Tasked with strategizing and supervising the project’s execution along with commissioning activities, Ahasolar carries the responsibility of providing support post-commissioning until the project attains stability.
