Hygenco to Build Green Hydrogen Plant in Maharashtra

Hygenco, a green hydrogen company based in Haryana, is set to embark on a significant initiative to leverage the potential of green hydrogen for a clean, reliable, and economical energy future. The company has unveiled plans to establish and operate a hundred percent green hydrogen plant in Maharashtra.

The venture will be the inaugural operational green hydrogen production facility in Maharashtra, promising energy generation devoid of carbon dioxide emissions. Hygenco has a good track record of constructing, owning, and managing multiple green hydrogen facilities across India. In a recent development, Hygenco entered into a strategic agreement for green hydrogen and green oxygen supply with Sterlite Technologies Ltd (STL), a global provider of optical and digital solutions.

The collaborative project aims to furnish green hydrogen and green oxygen to STL’s cutting-edge glass preform plant situated in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. By fostering the adoption of green hydrogen as a financially feasible alternative to grey hydrogen, the initiative aligns with the startup’s sustainability targets while curbing reliance on fossil fuel imports.
